How this page works, and how to make it yours

For the promise people make every January

January sign-ups are easy to win and hard to keep. The pages that work are the ones that sound achievable: short sessions, a plan that fits the week the reader actually has, and a first step that costs nothing. New Year Fitness is built that way, on warm ivory with a sunrise summit and a serif that feels more like a journal than a gym poster.

It suits fitness and habit apps, online coaching, gym January intakes and nutrition or meditation programmes. Pick it when the tone should be encouraging rather than extreme.

How the page sells, section by section

The hero promises a healthier year with one action and a strip of proof: members, rating, plans and support. Choose your goal gives four starting points, each with what it involves.

A film still follows, then everything you need shows the app drawn on a phone: workouts, nutrition, recovery and tracking. Three minutes to a plan explains the questions, the plan and the adjustments.

Programmes price out named courses with lengths and session times. The January reset is a free challenge with a countdown to the first day. Stories quote members with real numbers and timeframes, pricing shows monthly and annual with the trial, and the page ends with questions and a start-my-plan form.

Making it yours

Sunrise ink, Forest, Clay and Deep sea schemes are included, with Newsreader, Fraunces or Lora. Nine photographs are used, and ordinary people training in ordinary places work better here than athletes; the whole argument is that this is doable.

What to get right before January

Be careful with results. Member stories should give the timeframe and say that results vary, and any health claim needs to be accurate in the markets you sell in. Add a line advising people with medical conditions or who are pregnant to speak to a doctor first.

Pricing must be unambiguous: what the trial includes, when it converts, what the annual plan costs in total rather than per month, when the offer ends and how to cancel. Subscription rules are strict in many countries, so state the renewal terms clearly. If the free challenge is genuinely free, say what happens on day 22.

Writing it with the AI

Start from the template for free, or tick “Write the text for my business” for about 20 credits. A good brief names the product, the goals it supports, what the app or programme includes, the named programmes with lengths, the free challenge, the prices with the trial and the cancellation terms.

Adapting it beyond January

A gym can turn programmes into class blocks and add a location and an intake date. An online coach can replace the app section with what a week with a coach looks like. A nutrition service can lead with meal plans and shopping lists. A meditation product can slow the whole page down and make the challenge the main action.

After the first weeks

Most January pages are abandoned in February. Keep this one and change the frame: the reset becomes a monthly challenge, the countdown becomes the next intake, and the stories are refreshed with members who started in January. The page then earns sign-ups all year instead of for three weeks.

Reaching people making a resolution

January sign-ups come from search for a goal, app store listings, creators and the list you built through the autumn. Point each at the goal tiles rather than the pricing, so people choose a starting point before a price. Because sign-ups arrive with their source, you can compare the cost of a member who stays past March across channels, which matters far more than the first-week total. Keep the page live all year and change the reset to the next intake.

When another template fits better

A gym selling a trial session in person fits Gym, and a small studio selling classes fits Boutique Studio. A residential retreat fits Wellness Retreat, and a software product sold on a trial fits Marketing Tool SaaS. More health layouts are on the health and fitness templates page.

Before you publish

  • Give timeframes with every member story.
  • State trial, renewal and cancellation terms plainly.
  • Add health advice for people who should check first.
  • Confirm the programme start dates.
  • Test the sign-up form and the first email.
04 questions

Before you start

Which products is this template for?
Anything people sign up to in January: a fitness or habit app, online coaching, a gym intake, a nutrition or meditation programme.
Why is it so calm for a fitness page?
Because resolutions fail on shouting. The page sells a plan that fits a normal week, with short sessions and a free challenge as the first step.
Does it handle a free trial and a discount?
Yes. Pricing shows monthly and annual with the seasonal offer and its end date, and every plan starts with a free trial.
Which colour schemes and fonts come with it?
Sunrise ink, Forest, Clay and Deep sea, with Newsreader, Fraunces or Lora.
